Documentation for Shipment Movement
A) All shipping documents provided to SPDX Logistics Inc. for the movement of cargo are received by us with the understanding that the shipment is ready for pickup, delivery, or transfer. Failed pickups, deliveries, or transfers due to a shipment not being verified before submitting to SPDX Logistics Inc. may be subject to attempt charges as indicated in the SPDX Logistics Inc. tariff. (Please contact your account Manager for additional information.)
B) Import Documents (Air Freight) = All import documents for freight pickup (Air Shipments) must be submitted to SPDX Logistics Inc. by 1400HRS Monday through Friday for same day pickup and next day delivery. (Not All Areas Apply)
C) Import Documents (Ocean Freight) = All import documents for freight pickup (Ocean shipments) must be submitted to SPDX Logistics Inc. by 1400HRS Monday through Friday for next day pickup. Delivery to be determined within 24HR period of pickup unless prior written arrangements have been made with SPDX Logistics Inc. in advance.
D) Export Documents (Air Freight) = All export documents for same day delivery must be submitted to SPDX Logistics Inc. as follows:
Monday Through Friday By 1600HRS
E) Export Documents (Ocean Freight) = All export documents must be submitted to SPDX Logistics Inc. by 1400HRS for next day transfer.
F) Import CFS = All import documents for the transfer of freight back to SPDX Logistics Inc. facility must be submitted by 1400HRS for that day's pickup. Freight availability will be within 24HRS of arrival to SPDX Logistics Inc. facility.
G) Pickup Requests = All Pickup requests for same day pickup must be submitted by 1200HRS Monday through Friday for same day pickup.
H) Documents must be in by cutoff times as indicated above. Documents may be submitted to SPDX Logistics Inc. via email or messenger service. All documents received after cut off times will be routed for the next business day unless prior arrangements have been made in writing.
Charges Outlay
A) SPDX Logistics Inc. does not outlay charges. Our accounting office is centralized, and we do not issue checks on a local level.
C.O.D.
A) SPDX Logistics Inc does not collect COD (Cash or Checks) at time of pickup or delivery of any shipments. All arrangements for payment must be made prior to dispatching SPDX Logistics Inc. for the pick up or delivery of cargo.
Insurance
A) SPDX Logistics Inc.’s liability in the absence of a higher valuation declared and paid for shall not exceed SPDX Logistics Inc responsibility of $50.00 per shipment. It is the shipper's responsibility to properly ensure the cargo being transported.
Pickup and Delivery Appointments
A) Business Pickup and Deliveries = SPDX Logistics Inc. does not call to schedule appointments for business deliveries. Standard next day business deliveries are Monday through Friday between 9am and 5pm. Prior arrangements may be made if an appointment is required or special pickup or delivery is needed. (Appointment surcharges and special delivery charges may apply please contact your account manager for details.)
B) Residential A.K.A. Home Pickup and Deliveries = SPDX Logistics Inc. will arrange a 4HR window for all residential pickups and deliveries Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm as part of our standard practice, unless we are advised otherwise in writing. (Additional charges do not apply for residential appointments.)
White Glove Pickups & Deliveries / Special Projects
A) Due to the complexity of these type of shipments and the varying needs of each client, requests for white glove pickups and deliveries, special projects are handled on an as needed basis. All white glove pickups, deliveries, and special projects are booked in advance by appointment. Please contact your account manager for additional details and quotations.
Quotes
A) All quote requests must be submitted in writing and expire 30 days from the date of the quote.
Proof of Pickup & Deliveries (A.K.A. POD)
A) SPDX Logistics Inc. maintains a paperless business model, we do not keep hard copies of proof of pickups, deliveries, or transfers. All documents pertaining to the pickup, delivery, or transfer of cargo are uploaded as soft copies and are available within 24HRS of job completion. Phone, email, or SMS text update service is available for all who request status updates on any shipment. Please contact your account Manager for additional details.
Invoicing & Payment
A) SPDX Logistics Inc. generates invoices on a daily basis. Invoices along with a copy of the proof of pickup, delivery, or transfer will be delivered via email within 24HRS of completion of the job. If an alternate delivery method is required please contact your account Manager with instructions.
B) SPDX Logistics Inc. Invoices are due payable on Net 15 Day terms effective from the billing date on the invoice (based on the sole discretion of SPDX Logistics Inc. for qualified and approved applicants). If special payment term arrangements need to be made, please contact your account Manager. SPDX Logistics Inc. reserves the right to approve or deny any requests for extended credit terms. (Not all companies will qualify). All invoices over 60 days will be turned over to SPDX Logistics Inc. legal department and will be reported past due to Dunn & Bradstreet, Experian, Transunion, and Equifax. All legal fees will be added to the total balance due.
C) SPDX Logistics Inc. charges on the chargeable weight of a shipment, if a chargeable weight is not provided the shipment in question will be measured with the standard length, width and height in inches and a dimensional factor of 194 will be used to calculate the chargeable weight.
D) SPDX Logistics Inc. reserves the right to convert your check payment to an electronic debit. For our customers convenience we accept the folliwing payment methods, Corporate Checks, Wire Transfer, ACH or All major credit cards. Please note if paying by credit card the transaction fee is 4% of the total charge. Please contact your account Manager for any questions.
Warehouse Hours of Operation
A) Shipping and Receiving hours are = Monday through Friday = 10HRS to 1600HRS.
Warehouse Procedures
A) All trucks picking up and delivering to SPDX Logistics Inc. must check in with dock master to present paperwork and one form of governmental identification before being assigned a door for loading or unloading.
B) SPDX Logistics Inc. reserves the right to refuse any shipment being delivered due to improper documentation, refusal to present proper identification or condition of goods being delivered. SPDX Logistics Inc. will not assume any financial obligation or liability of goods being delivered due to refusal.
